Volunteer Information

Thank you for your interest in volunteering to support the Vice Presidential Debate at Washington University in St. Louis on October 2, 2008.  We value your contribution to this important, historic event.

Applications are now being accepted for volunteer positions for the 2008 Vice Presidential Debate, being held at Washington University in St. Louis on October 2.  All full- and part-time Washington University students, postdoctoral appointees, faculty and staff, who will be on campus for the fall 2008 semester, are eligible to apply.

Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas to provide administrative and technical support during the week of the debate. Only a limited number of volunteers will have access to the debate hall.

Applications, which include a professional resume and a cover letter, are being accepted in two application periods. The Early Decision application process will run from Monday, April 14, 2008 through Friday, May 30, 2008. The Regular Decision application process will run from Tuesday, July 1, 2008 through Friday, September 5, 2008. Volunteers will be selected based on the quality of their application materials and interest level. All volunteers are also required to pass a background check.
