Campus access during the debate
Important reminders for the October 2 Vice Presidential Debate
- On Thursday, October 2, there will be no classes held AFTER 3:00 p.m. so that traffic on the Danforth Campus is limited to those activities surrounding the Debate. In some rare cases, exceptions will be made. Students who have classes on Thursdays after 3:00 p.m. should consult with their individual faculty members about their class schedule on October 2. Classes will be held in Seigle Hall on October 2.
- On Wednesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 2, access to the Danforth Campus will be limited to Washington University faculty, staff, and students. All individuals on the Danforth Campus on October 1 and October 2 MUST have in their possession a valid Washington University identification card.
- The week of the Vice Presidential Debate, there will be significant parking restrictions on the Danforth Campus, so all faculty, staff, and students are strongly encouraged to use alternative transportation the week of September 29. Specific information about lot closures can be found here.
Visitors who plan to be on campus Oct. 1 or 2 and who do not have a valid Washington University ID should contact Wendy Oloteo at (314) 935-5555 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements.
Please check the Traffic & Parking page for information about road and parking lot closures.
Access to fitness facilities and the Athletic Complex
