| Tickets for the October 8 Presidential Debate
All audience tickets for the 2004 presidential debates are the responsibility of the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). The commission determines who will receive the extremely limited number of tickets. There is no guarantee that the university will receive any tickets. If there are any tickets assigned to Washington University, they will go entirely to our students through a lottery process.
The student ticket lottery closed at 12:00 p.m. CST October 4. The number of students who entered the lottery was 5,873. At this point, no tickets have been issued to the University by the Commission on Presidential Debates. All students entering the lottery will be notified of their status via email by 5:00 p.m. on October 4. The students in the top 300 of the lottery results will remain in the pool of potential ticket-holders, however we do not know how many, if any, of those students will receive tickets. If you entered the lottery and did not receive an email, you can inquire by emailing debate2004tickets@wustl.edu.
Thank you again for your interest in attending the presidential debate. This is an exciting time at Washington University, and we hope you will take advantage of the remote viewing areas and other unique events that will take place on campus.
